This new concourse serves as the visual south bookend to the terminal at MIA and contains 15 new domestic and international gates. In collaboration with Zapata Studio, the seven level concourse reflects the forefront of airport design with state-of-the-arts technology. This design clearly echoes the old majestic train depots of long ago and incorporates unique design elements, extending quality facilities to the traveler. The facility also provides enhanced system design creating operational efficiency. This functionally and aesthetically pleasing facility articulates its presence to meet the high comfort level and quality of travel for the new century. The modern design reflects several architectural forms, making a statement of contemporary design which is a refreshing environment for the weary traveler.
